Community Purchasers

Welcome purchasers and buyers!  We strive to make this process as smooth as possible for you and your accounting department.

We are well equipped to receive large orders from Schools, NGOs, Community Groups, Native Friendship Centres etc.  We are also registered suppliers for many Universities as well as the Government of Canada.

We will work with you through the process, once you provide us with a list of products you need, we will create and send an invoice or quote.  Once approved with PO# or written approval, we will get to work and ship out your order in a timely manner.  We ship all our packages with either Canada Post or Fedex, both are tracked.  You will receive a tracking number once your order leaves the door.

  • Deer Hide – Hand Drum Kit

    We offer an 8″ & 11″ Kids hand drum kit.  As well as our 12″, 14″ and 16″ hand drum kits

    Our kits include an amazing instruction manual, a rawhide circle with holes punched (large enough to wrap all the way over to the back of the drum), rawhide lacing long enough to pull the drum and weave a handle, one of our steamed white ash hoops, and a drum stick kit.  Our kits come with very detailed instructions and a video to help you make your drum.  We are confident that anyone can make a hand drum with the assistance of our instructions.

    You know that expression “one man’s garbage is another’s gold mine”….well this week we are offering our scraps at a discount!!   We are doing a little summer cleaning and realize that we have tons of buffalo, moose and deer rawhide scraps that we have been hoarding.  “Let it go Rob…”  These scraps are perfect for rattles, earrings, little mini drums etc.  Perfect for small crafting projects.  But to be clear they are NOT suitable for drums of any size.  IF they were big enough I would have turned them into drums.  SO we are selecting through the hides and picking out pieces that are appropriate for softball sizes rattles.  Each bundle will contain a dozen or so pieces of rawhide.

    Our new Drum Bag Kits are designed for a workshop.  We have included very clear instructions, sinew, glovers needle, small piece of thick moose to make a thimble and all the leather cut to size and appropriate shape.  We have also included instructions so that people can personalize their bags with either fringe or left as a ‘live edge’.

  • Gold Deer Leather

    Brand New Gold Deer Leather in stock!! We just finished up a double load of gold deer leather. Really really beautiful hides. Sized from 6 up to 12 square feet. 2.5 ounce great texture very easy to sew by hand or machine.  During hunting season this past fall we started working with a new supplier who sorts all of their deer.  This batch is from that source and it never gets better quality than this for wild deer leather.  Hides run from 8 sq ft up to 10 sqft.

  • Gold Moose Leather 3.5 oz- Quarters

    Gold Moose Leather 3.5 ounce is the PERFECT leather for moccasin and mitt making.  Easily sewn by hand, this leather is smooth one side and suede the other.  Extremely soft and supple but will make a pair of moccs that will last for years.  We gather our hides from local hunters who are feeding their families but don’t need the hides.

    Our 3.5oz gold is by far our most popular leather as it is so amazing for so many projects.  We recommend glovers needles # 5 or # 6 for sewing.  (5 better for newbies, 6 for more experienced sewers)  Available in quarter or half moose sizes and bundles of 25 or 50sqft.

  • Four Directions Smudge Kit

    In Native teachings we call in the directions of East, South, West & North and all of our lessons are brought to us from the directions.   The Four Directions also bring us four medicines that represent each directions.  Semah, Cedar, Sage and Sweetgrass.   We wanted of offer a kit that had all the four medicines included…ready to go!!  Each Smudge Kit includes a linen bag of organic leaf semah, a linen bag of cedar, a linen bag of loose white sage and a braid of sweetgrass, as well as a large abalone shell and a small fan.  The kit comes in a 10″ x 14″ large linen bag that has a tie to keep everything safe inside.

    **  Feather fans can only be shipped within Canada.  For our USA customers we are now offering just our most amazing Abalone Shells and Extra Sage (NO feather fan).

    Each kit includes a moose rawhide circle which is big enough to wrap all the way over the side of the back of the drum, holes punched, extra strong lacing to handle the strength of moose with enough to weave a handle, an over built white ash hoop AND a drum stick kit.

  • White Sage Smudge Kits

    We are offering 4 different White Sage Smudge Kits with different sizes/styles of fans.  In the Native American tradition every ceremony begins with smudging.  Smudging is the burning of sacred herbs such as sweetgrass, white sage, cedar etc, with the intention of purification of body and mind.
    Our Smudge Kits include:
    1 farmed Abalone shell, 1 bag of White Sage and 1 Fan (Small Leather Wrapped, Maple Wood Stick Fan, Large Cedarwood Leather Wrapped & Real Goose Wing Leather Wrapped)
    Each kit will include a text on smudging and a 10″ x 12″ Linen Bag

  • Moose Leather – Mix Bundles

    This year we have 14 different colours of moose leather.  I know crazy exciting….  We are offering Mixed Natural Tones in either 3.5 oz or 5.5 oz : Cedarwood, Espresso, Gold, Light Cream, Black and Cork OR Mixed Colours in 3.5 oz: Grey, Fuchsia, Turquoise, Pink, Royal Blue, Purple, Green, Orange and Red OR all 15 colours.  This leather is #1 grade A quality leather….the grain (or rather the smooth side) is very even with very few blemishes. Pieces will average 7 sq ft. if you need larger sizes please go to the colour you want (scroll down on main moose leather page) and you can select different sizes.

  • Rattle Kits (DIY)

    Everything is included, so that a great time is had by all. We are offering a Deer, Moose or Buffalo Rattle Kit. Each kit comes with a carefully selected piece of rawhide (shape traced out to be cut), glovers needles, sinew, maple wood handle and wool to stuff and shape the rattle.  We also include material (pebbles, copper pellets, glass beads etc) to give you options for creating different sounds. Our kit includes very clear instructions to make your workshop a huge success.

  • “DIY” Medicine Bags Kits

    One of the handiest things around the fire or gathering is a nice smudge kit or medicine bag.  Recently we have had several people ask if they could make it themselves….and who are we to say no!!  Our 8″ Smudge Bag Kit consists of a front and back piece of moose leather, a moose leather strap, Sinew, glovers needles AND very careful clear instructions on how to assemble your bag.  The kit also include a fan (that we make for you) and farmed abalone shell and a linen bag of Californian Buffalo/White Sage.
    Attention USA customers: we are not permitted to ship feathers into the United States.  Our thought is to add more white sage and a piece of leather to your Medicine Bag Kit to compensate for the missing fan.  AND perhaps this is an opportunity to make your own fan. We use a small branch, drill holes and glue feathers into the branch.  Then you can wrap the wood with leather we have included.
