  • Hand Drum Hoops

    19$ US35$ US

White Ash Hand Drum Hoops.  Our drums are VERY unusual in that we make our own hoops.  These days most (virtually ALL) drum makers are using plywood maple frames made overseas or mitred multi pieced wood frames that are 8 to 12 sided.  My understanding is that a hand drum made 500+ years ago would have looked very much like ours (ok maybe not dyed. lol) but someone would have gone out, cut down a tree, split it and then bent it to approximately round.  We order white ask lumber in large dimension, and then cut it into lats of different sizes (for different hoops) and steam and bend by hand.  We glue the connection with a water proof glue and then sand/router all edges. Our hoops are 98% round.  Ash is a very strong wood so our hoops will not move or bend over time no matter what kind of hide is pulled over them.

  • Canadian Furs

    12$ US389$ US

Canadian Furs:  By popular demand we have decided to create a crafting category for furs.  Designed to be worked with as moccasin trim, or clothing trim or artistic accents.  We have developed a good relationship with a furrier over the past few years supplying our rabbit and beaver and we have asked him to keep on the look out for good furs that are ‘craft’ quality.  We understand that many of these will be cut up, so they might have the odd hole but generally very useable and at a crafting price.  BUT please read the descriptions carefully cuz when we get a deal on something PERFECT, we will tell you.

PLEASE NOTE: We can not ship these furs to the States!!

  • Coyote Furs

So limited time only.  These hides are not perfect but they are really beautiful very soft tanned.  There are some holes and some missing tails. (in the # 2s some are cut in the middle) but for crafting (moccasin trim etc) these are just perfect at an amazing price.

  • 8” Razor Sharp Scissors

    20$ US

These scissors are wonderfully designed to fit your hand.  When cutting rawhide lacing or strips of leather we can spend hours on a pair of scissors and an uncomfortable handle is the worst!!  A bad handle creates blisters, cramping of the hand and throwing of scissors.  But these sissors are just perfect. Wonderfully angled so that your hand will fit comfortable in the scissors for hours at a time. The edge is, as described “razor sharp” and stay sharps longer than any scissor we have worked with.

  • 5” Micro Tipped Scissors

    16$ US

These scissors were made for beaders.  Cuts sinew perfectly. Trims the leather end of a piece of lacing to a clean point.  Nice and sharp and well formed these scissors snip what you need to cut horizontally.  Leaves a clean point for threading a needle, or stitching a moccasin.

  • Hole Punch

    62$ US

We certify this Amazing Hole Punch!! As Drum makers we punch A LOT OF HOLES, in fact, Natives Punch A LOT OF HOLES!!
For years we were using those cheap commonly available punches but our arms were falling off. Those old punches require an impossible amount of physical force didn’t even cut a clean hole. Finally after buying every brand of punch available we discovered the wonderful Sprenger Hole Punch. This German made hole punch has a lever or ratchet action and requires 70% less physical force to cut holes. Cutting holes even through even the thickest of moose leather or raw hide is a breeze. Effortless!! You will be astonished!! The punch features 6 different sizes of holes.  The punch is not cheap, but at $80 this might be the very last hole punch you ever buy.
