Saskatchewan Harvested Wild Bergamot (Bee Balm)

7$ US

Wild Bergamot is a plant that grows in dry soil in ditches commonly in the prairies and in dry areas throughout most of Canada. Their flowers are loved by bees, moths and other nectar loving creatures.  When using fresh, bee balm (bergamot), can be used in flavouring salads, sauces and even baked goods if a more herbier taste is wanted. In the traditional  use, the tea is made for coughs and flue as well as treating any discomfort in the mouth. It was also treated to dress wounds because of its disinfectant quality. It seems like their are many more uses that are still being discovered from this beautiful flower.
