Her most recent release, Hand Drum Stories (Feb. 2016, Tribal Spirit Music), exemplifies her holistic style of music-making, with its 13 songs symbolically honouring the 13 Grandmother moons of the traditional Indigenous yearly cycle. Aqua’s previous self-produced four-song EP, Spirit Music (2014, released independently), paid tribute to the four directions and four Indigenous sacred medicines.
