Gold Deer ‘seconds’ special $6 per square foot. As we receive our leather back from the tannery….and we get pallets of it!! We open each bundle and process the hides into various grades. Our #1 are very very clean hides. Our ‘seconds’ grade gets determines when the smooth side is less than perfect. There might be a couple holes (off to the side) but the suede side of the leather is perfect!! or about 95% perfect. And our #3 grade we don’t even sell….we use it for medicine pouches, crafts etc….
SO if you are working on a project that can use suede side out, then this is a great way to save some money.
