Description
The inner bark of the Red Osier Dogwood (sometimes called Red Willow but it is actually a Dogwood not a Willow) is used by many Nations as part of a smoking mixture. It has a pain relieving effect and can be boiled for use as a pain relieving poultice to treat sores. Red Osie has also been used as a tea to treat diarrhea, fevers and liver ailments. This bark was harvest in late winter/early spring when it is at its most potent stage, just before the plant shoots out the buds. We are offering this by the ounce.
