Walnut brown deer leather. We chose it’s name because it reminds us of the bark of a black walnut tree. If this colour had a flavour it would taste like Nesquik chocolate milk. You can absolutely hear the spoon stirring the glass of chocolate milk powder while cutting this leather. For both moccasins and vests this leather is going to be very very popular.
We are always looking to create new browns and natural colours to satisfy every leather worker, crafter, or moccasin maker out there. To incorporate earthy tones in their work.
You should know, all our deer leather comes mainly from the Laurentian Mountains north of Montreal. We gather them from hunters that hunt wild deer to feed their families. We have the hides tanned at our local tannery. This leather is very soft and supple.
