Scarred Moose Leather as Art

In the leather game every once in a while we come across a piece of leather that is covered with scars.  This never happens with deer, always with moose, and they are very dramatic and emotional. These are healed injuries that might have come from a battle with another animal or perhaps a barbed wire fence.  Either way these scars speak of survival.

We have been saving these poetic expressions of survival for a couple years now.  We wanted to share them with you but just couldn’t figure out the right ‘product’ to give them due respect.  We recently realized that the pieces of leather with dramatic scars on them are actually pieces of art in themselves.  They tell a story of strength, determination and survival.  These pieces of art inspire us and we thought you might feel the same.
