After years of designing, refining, and reimagining, we have crafted a Cradleboard that embodies both tradition and modern craftsmanship.
We had all the technology of course; steaming, bending the hoop and working the Cedarwood board. Joywind, our master leatherworker, has developed a 3-flap wrap technique using 3.5-ounce moose leather, ensuring a secure yet comfortable enclosure for your baby.
Made with one inch thick Eastern White Cedar backing, a White Ash hoop (which is built to also function as a handle) and moose leather. We wanted to create a unique, traditional fastener and came up with 2 large moose antler buttons with moose lacing that fastens around the button. The single piece of moose leather is designed in a 3 flap wrap technique. At the foot, a piece of leather covers the baby’s legs and then two flaps from the left and right fold over and are fastened with antler buttons.
We are very happy with the way this worked out and we our honoured to offer our Cradleboard into your family. Perfect for an Indigenous Baby Shower or to take your new born to their first Powwow.

Cradleboard is 30″ tall x 12″ wide. The Ash hoop is 16″ tall and the weight is 6.5 pounds (without baby)
