Matte Black Deer Leather

Matte Black Deer.  We have started working with a new tannery here in Quebec this year.  All of their finishing is very understated with a matte finish.  Their processing runs the hides through a roller (kinda like very old washing machines that squeeze clothing through two rollers) This squeezing make the grain of the leather extremely smooth and even in colour.  Our other glossy black deer is toggled, which highlights the grain texture.  Both are great just different.  This Matte Black is extremely even in colour and texture, ultra soft and very beautiful hides.  In this picture left hide is suede side out right hide is skin/smooth side.

Purchase 25 sq ft and get 5% off or 50 sq ft and get 10% off all leather. ‘Seconds’ leather, is leather that is of slightly lower quality.  Generally it might have a couple more holes and the skin side will not be perfect.  BUT if you are using the suede side out in your project then this is a great way to save some $$.
